Dem Donor Blasts Jill Biden Over Joe’s Campaign

(LibertySociety.com) – A prominent Democratic donor who’s contributed thousands of dollars to campaigns over the years slammed First Lady Jill Biden for encouraging her husband to stay in the race instead of dropping out due to obvious signs of decline.

On Sunday, June 30, Democratic donor Bill Ackman posted his reaction on social media to the news that President Joe Biden would remain in the presidential race after his disastrous first debate performance against former President Donald Trump. Ackman said he doesn’t blame Biden anymore for staying in the race because the president “no longer has the mental acuity” to judge for himself, and put the blame on the First Lady instead.

Ackman claims Jill Biden is encouraging her husband to remain in office because she knows she will become “irrelevant the moment [he] is no longer president.” The Democratic donor noted how she will no longer be able to fly in style on Air Force One and live a “glamorous life” with “dinners for dignitaries” at the White House. He said she would no longer be “treated like a queen.”

After Biden’s debate a few days prior, on June 27, many progressive pundits and even several Democratic lawmakers changed their tune immediately about the president’s mental acuity and physical prowess. Even the editorial board of The New York Times published a piece calling on Biden to serve the American people by stepping aside from the race.

The president announced the day after the debate that he would stay in the race, although he did admit that his advanced age impacted his speaking, walking, and debating abilities. Despite those obvious effects of aging, Biden said he still knew “how to tell the truth.”

Ackman, who has donated to the campaigns of high-ranking Democrats such as former President Barack Obama, said that it was clear Jill Biden valued “what is best for herself over her husband’s health and safety,” as well as the country’s security “at large.” He accused her of putting Biden through unnecessary stress, speeding up his deterioration.
