Who Is The Man That Attacked Dave Chappelle? His Identity Revealed
(LibertySociety.com) – Comedian Dave Chappelle was performing his standup routine for his “Netflix Is a Joke” tour in Los Angeles, California, when Isaiah Lee allegedly rushed the stage and tackled him. The local police department identified the 23-year-old musician, who they charged with assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect carried a knife and a gun replica inside the venue and had the weapons on him when Chappelle was attacked.
Reports say the man was upset about the comedian’s jokes aimed at transgender individuals.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) refused to comment on Lee’s criminal record, but his current charges amount to a felony, and they’re holding him on $30,000 bail. The New York Post reported the alleged attacker is a rapper with an entire song dedicated to none other than Dave Chappelle himself.
Interestingly, the rap song seems to reference the man entering the Hollywood Bowl during the comedian’s performance. The Post also talked about a song showing his support for former President Donald Trump, asking why people are “always hatin’” on him.
After the alleged attack, Chappelle continued with the show, refusing to let the incident “overshadow” the momentous event.
A court date for Lee’s case has not yet been set.
