(LibertySociety.com) – A scary situation unfolded on the night of June 16 at the home of 41-year-old country music star Carrie Underwood. A UTV parked outside her garage caught fire and quickly spread to the garage. Williamson County Fire and Rescue saw flames coming from the garage when they arrived around 9:40 p.m., but fortunately, they prevented it from spreading to the inside of the home. Four family members and three pets were inside when the fire started, but no injuries were reported.
Captain Dinah Wade said that it took hours to stop the fire from progressing across the front roofline, adding that a nearby county also responded to assist the crew already on the scene. Multiple hot spots continued to pop up as the crews tried to contain the flames. Additionally, Wade said that Fairview Fire sent its crew and an additional tanker to support the operation. Firefighters had a nearly endless supply of water to extinguish the fire, thanks to a 10,000-gallon reservoir on site. Underwood smartly installed the water supply due to the property’s rural location.
One of Underwood’s dogs stayed throughout the operation, but the two others were taken to a family member’s home. On June 17, Underwood posted a photo of one of her sheep to her Instagram story. She captioned it with “Life is stressful sometimes.” She encouraged everyone to “take a break and watch a sheep eat.” Underwood has several farm animals, including donkeys and horses. She also grows a garden, which helps her connect with nature and offers many therapeutic benefits to the megastar. Underwood’s love for animals also guides her philanthropic work, as she donates to various animal rights groups.
Underwood married Mike Fisher, a former Canadian professional ice hockey player, in 2010. The couple has two sons named Isaiah and Jacob. Underwood’s music career is still in full swing, but her family is clearly the most important aspect of her life.
