Comer Claims Hunter was Copied on Dad’s VP Emails

(LibertySociety.com) – The mounting evidence that has been gathered and revealed by the House Oversight Committee has committee Chair James Comer convinced that President Biden was fully aware and involved in his family’s shady business dealings. House Democrats have repeatedly claimed that President Biden had nothing to do with the deals. However, they will likely have a hard time explaining away then-Vice President Biden’s decision to use an alias for government emails during communications with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and other Ukrainian officials. Rationalizing Hunter Biden being copied as a recipient on those emails will also be a daunting task, as Democrats have claimed for years that Hunter Biden did not work for the government.

The emails were initially discovered on Hunter Biden’s laptop, but Comer is taking action to get the government’s copies for his investigation. He sent a letter to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) on August 17, demanding the production of communications by then-VP Biden. Comer is giving NARA until August 31 to turn over all documents pertaining to the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, which includes emails to VP Biden’s aliases, such as Robert L. Peters. He also demanded all emails with Hunter Biden and his business associates, in addition to every draft of VP Biden’s speech to the Ukrainian Parliament.

During a recent interview with Maria Bartiromo, Comer said that those emails were “100% government business,” adding that Hunter Biden should not have been a recipient of such emails. Comer discussed the role that then-VP Biden played in having the Ukrainian Prosecutor General Victor Shokin fired, citing Hunter Biden’s business associate Devon Archer’s recent testimony to the committee. Archer claimed that Burisma executives reached out to the United States through Hunter to help deal with Shokin’s investigation of the company.

Comer told Bartiromo that Hunter Biden would forward the emails to Burisma to prove that he was a valuable asset and able to influence the government in the company’s favor. The New York Post previously revealed that then-VP Biden used at least three other aliases for email communications. The outlet published several emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop that confirm Joe Biden was the owner of those email accounts.
