(LibertySociety.com) – Democrats are using the Wednesday, January 6, Capitol Hill unrest to continue their attack on President Donald Trump. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) made an asinine demand after the incident.
On Thursday, Schumer called on Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment. The Constitutional amendment allows the VP, cabinet, and a two-thirds majority of Congress to remove a president from office if the commander-in-chief is “unable to discharge the powers and duties” of the office. The senator said if Pence wouldn’t do it, Congress should impeach the POTUS.

The demand by the senator doesn’t make much sense. There’s no evidence that Trump is unable to do his job. Making Democrats mad isn’t covered under the 25th Amendment. It also isn’t a high crime or misdemeanor. This is just another example of the Left using a tragedy to benefit themselves politically, and it’s a continuation of a four-year witch hunt.
