Cartel Boss Arrested For Allegedly Committing Brutal Murder

(LibertySociety.com) – In November 2019, the violent murders of three mothers and six children in Mexico shocked the world. The American families were traveling near their homes when they were ambushed by alleged cartel members and killed. Finally, someone has been arrested and stands accused of committing the massacre.

According to reports, Roberto González Montes, the alleged leader of the La Línea cartel, was arrested for the murders on November 23. Chihuahua Secretary of State for Public Security confirmed he was sent to Mexico City to face arraignment.

Last year, Mexican officials said they believed the cartel mistook the family for a rival gang. The family was driving large SUVs like the ones the drug runners like to use. The massacre marked another sad event in the country’s narcotics war that’s responsible for the deaths of as many as 150,000 people.

Montes was taken into custody with two other cartel members, Santiago Casavantes Radovich and Eulalio Domínguez Alanís.
