Atlanta Mayor Bottoms Declines Biden's Cabinet Position Offer (Report)

(LibertySociety.com) – Joe Biden is moving ahead with his presidential transition as the country waits to find out if he’ll be the next commander-in-chief. The former vice president has chosen many well-known Leftists to serve in his possible administration. However, one of the leaders he wanted recently turned him down.

According to a December 13 report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms (D) turned down Biden’s offer to serve in his cabinet. Rashad Taylor, her senior adviser, said the mayor “respectfully declined” his proposal.

Taylor didn’t mention what position Biden offered Bottoms, but New Yorker staff writer Charles Bethea said it wasn’t a cabinet position, but rather an ambassadorship.

Bottoms is a vocal opponent of President Donald Trump. In November, she said she believes the president would “eat his own children” to further his agenda. She’s also accused the POTUS of inciting racism. It sounds like America dodged a bullet when she turned the position down.
