IMPEACHMENT Requested For These Supreme Court Justices
(LibertySociety.com) – Following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, sending abortion rights issues to the states, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) calls for the impeachment of a few justices on the bench. On June 26, she said any justice who lied under oath to procure a seat on the highest court in the land deserves impeachment.
The New York lawmaker specifically called out Justice Clarence Thomas for keeping income sources a secret and refusing to recuse himself from decisions where he allegedly had a bias — impeachable offenses, in her opinion.

Ocasio-Cortez believes there should be consequences for lying to Congress in order to secure a lifetime appointment on the bench. If the behavior is allowed to remain unchecked by the powers that be, the representative thinks potential future justices could follow suit.
She called for Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Susan Collins (R-ME) to consider impeachment proceedings for several of the conservative justices. Both legislators announced they felt “misled” by Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh during their confirmation hearings.
