(LibertySociety.com) – Earlier this year, a number of women came forward to accuse New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) of sexual harassment. He recently spoke out about the accusations the women have made against him.
On April 26, Cuomo flatly denied that he ever engaged in sexual harassment. A reporter asked if he would resign if the NY attorney general’s report into the allegations says something different. He responded it wouldn’t report “anything different” because he “didn’t do anything wrong.”
Monday’s press conference marked the first time since mid-December that reporters have been allowed to ask Cuomo questions. He has only taken pre-screened questions in recent months. The governor has repeatedly denied that he was inappropriate with any women, although he did issue a dramatic non-apology at the end of February for any comments that were “misinterpreted as an unwanted flirtation.”
There is no word on when the attorney general’s office will complete the investigation into his behavior. He’s also facing probes for his management of COVID and the subsequent deaths in nursing homes resulting in his state and possibly misusing state funds.
