(LibertySociety.com) – Ousted Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) released a comeback TV ad on Monday attacking Attorney General Letitia James for forcing him out of office for political reasons.
The former governor claimed in the ad he was a “proven leader,” and the persecution was legally unfounded.
Several women’s rights groups reacted to the advertisement by writing a joint statement calling Cuomo is a “serial sexual harasser” who was right to leave office.
“The only thing Andrew Cuomo has proven himself to be is a serial sexual harasser and a threat to women in the workplace,” the spokeswoman, Delaney Kempner, said. “No TV ad can change that.”https://t.co/xZKRTTyeJW

In August 2021, a flurry of sexual harassment accusations caused the leader to relinquish his position in shame. Cuomo insisted he was innocent of any misconduct and pointed to the alleged findings of “five separate district attorneys” to prove it.
Given the ex-governor resigned instead of facing impeachment, the law allows him to run for governor again. Perhaps the $369,000 ad was a desperate move by Cuomo to test the climate in New York as he continues to deny the allegations against him. He’s anxious to clear his name.
Unfortunately for him, another alleged victim emerged in February with accusations of even more sexually inappropriate behavior. The state trooper is currently suing the disgraced politician. Considering the allegations continuing to pile in, it seems unlikely a short ad on TV will do much to improve Cuomo’s image.
