5-Time-Deported Illegal Kills Schoolboy

(LibertySociety.com) – The Biden administration’s radical immigration policies have led to another death of an American citizen. On February 8, a 10-year-old boy was struck by a pickup truck after leaving a Midland, Texas school. The child was airlifted to a hospital in Lubbock but died the following day.

The driver immediately fled the scene, but police were able to track him down shortly thereafter. He told the Midland police that his name was Juan Ortiz Perez, but his fingerprints revealed that his real name was Rogelio Ortiz-Orvas. Police also discovered that the 50-year-old had recently reentered the United States after being deported for the fifth time. He was initially fingerprinted the first time he was deported.

Ortiz-Orvas was held on a charge for a collision involving serious bodily injury but after the boy died, he was charged with a hit-and-run accident, causing death. He is being held on a $100,000 bond. Midland County Sheriff David Criner said that Ortiz-Orvas was placed on an immigration detainer, adding that the county was working with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). It is unclear when Ortiz-Olivas crossed back into the United States, which would indicate that he never encountered a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agent.

Less than a week later, a three-year-old child was killed in a car accident in the sanctuary county of Montgomery, Pennsylvania. The vehicle was driven by 22-year-old Venezuelan illegal migrant Brayan Alejandro Gonzalez-Paez. He was driving at speeds between 70 and 80 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone in the rain when the Toyota Yaris struck a tree, killing the child and her mother. He was charged by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office with two counts of vehicular homicide, driving without a license, and other charges. Gonzalez-Paez was paroled into the United States in May of last year because of the policies of the Biden administration. Biden recently began claiming that he would like to get the crisis at the southern border under control after years of saying there was no crisis.
