(LibertySociety.com) – The realization that we’re living through a global pandemic is jarring. The year 2020 has been like no other in the last century. And although it has not always been pleasant, to put it mildly, there are things that we learned that we can take with us long after COVID-19 is gone.
Here are three things that you may have noticed during the pandemic:
- Frontline workers are the first ones to step up to the plate during a crisis. It’s not just doctors, nurses, police officers and firefighters, but also truck drivers, grocery store clerks and housekeepers.
- We need social interaction to thrive, even if that means sitting 10 feet apart in the parking lot of a coffee shop and chatting with your neighbor for 20 minutes.
- We should all slow down to appreciate the people in our lives who are important to us. You never know what could happen. Last year, we never could have imagined a pandemic might take them from us.
COVID-19 will be just a memory soon, but the lessons it taught us will stay for a lifetime.
